I bought this book in combination with the Magic Lantern book/dvd for the Sony camera. I have found it to be a very comprehensive, helpful book. It covers, in detail, each of the shooting modes for the camera, as well as all of the menus and what you need to know about each one. After it covers each of those aspects, it goes into giving general information about photography and getting better photographs. I'm pleased with it.
